Profile

AGi architects is an international design firm led by partners Joaquín Pérez-Goicoechea, Nasser B. Abulhasan, and Gwenola Kergall.

Founded in 2006 by Pérez-Goicoechea and Abulhasan, both educated at Harvard University, the firm has evolved into a globally recognized studio defined by its multidisciplinary approach and commitment to design excellence. Since its inception, Gwenola Kergall has played a key role in shaping AGi architects’ research-driven culture, leading the firm’s Research Department for over two decades and becoming Partner in 2025.

With offices in Kuwait and Madrid, AGi architects is composed of a team of more than 40 professionals operating across architecture, interior design, and urban planning. The studio’s work is guided by four core principles: innovation, life, ecological and social impact, and research, forming a framework that informs a design approach focused on creating lasting value.

- Innovation: a commitment to pushing boundaries in design, technology, and methodology.
- Life: an emphasis on human experience, wellbeing, and the emotional dimension of space.
- Ecological & Social Impact: a responsibility toward environmental performance and meaningful community engagement.
- Research: a rigorous investigative culture that informs design decisions and anticipates future needs.

Together, Pérez-Goicoechea, Abulhasan, and Kergall lead AGi architects with a shared commitment to quality, creativity, and a forward-looking design culture that continues to shape the firm’s international trajectory.

The studio’s architecture is based on four founding pillars: innovation, an inherent life component, ecological and social interventions and research. AGi architects provides comprehensive services in architecture, interior design and urban planning.
