It was 2006 when the two young architects trained in Harvard University, Joaquín Pérez-Goicoechea y Nasser B.Abulhasan established the hispanic-kuwaiti architecture studio, AGi architects. This is how our two main pillars were like:

Joaquín Pérez-Goicoechea. Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design (USA); Master in Urban Design and Architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (UPM-Spain).

He had begun his career in 1998 at Cruz and Ortiz’s office in Sevilla. He became its Director later on and he also worked on the expansion and renovation of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

His international tour had begun in the summer of 2001, when he moved to London in order to join the team of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill Inc., while continuing his careerpath alongside Hashim Sarkis at Harvard University.

He had also offered accademical assistance to several professors at the University of Harvard, including Rafael Moneo, Antonio Cruz and Antonio Ortiz. He had collaborated with professors and worked as a guest lecturer himself, teaching both in Spain and in the United States.

Nasser B. Aabulhasan. Doctor in Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design (USA); Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design (USA); Bachelor in Architecture and Urban Design from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (USA). He is, also, a professor at the University of Kuwait.

He had specialized in sustainable development in arid climates, he also had an extensive experience in the design and implementation of new communities, and had participated in numerous leading master planning projects in the Middle East.

In addition to organizing conferences and participating in several comprehensive studies, Nasser was the co-author of the chapter titled “Dubai: the city of many cities” in the book “The Arab City; Amman, Beirut and Dubai”, edited by George Arbid.
