Design and architecture are the stars of the December agenda at The Gulf. Nasser Abulhasan, Principal & Founding Partner of AGi architects, will give a conference during Everything Architecture, on December 5 in Dubai, entitled “Designing for health and wellbeing – creating healthier, happier buildings and spaces”.

On the other hand, he will also participate at the American Institute of Architects Middle East Year End Conference, which will take place in Oman from December 8 to 11, in order to explore Oman’s path to accomplishing successful adaptive re-use of heritage sites and an architecture fully conscious and respective of its context.

Wind Tower, shortlisted for the 2022 Aga Khan Award for Architecture

Our “Wafra Wind Tower” residential building, located in Kuwait, is one of the 20 finalists for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2022, as announced by the organization today.

Architecture that reflects the pluralism that has characterised Muslim societies and communities around the world is encouraged.

Wind Tower introduces a new concept to urban living, a new type of multi-family living that was lacking in Kuwait as a social response to Kuwait’s housing crisis. It was socially driven, environmentally responsive and behavior-conscious.

Second Prize in the competition for the new EMUASA headquarters, Spain

AGi architects won the second prize in the competition for the new headquarters of the Murcia water company (EMUASA), in Spain.

We proposed a small tower. By compacting the project at one end of the site, we free up space for the creation of a garden and a parking area covered by a solar canopy that allows for the collection of renewable energy.
