AGi architects participated at Kuwait Construction Week giving two lectures on sustainability and energy effectiveness. Aisha Alsager, Managing Director of our office in Kuwait, addressed sustainability embedded in design process. Lulu Al-Awadhi, Senior Architect at AGi architects Kuwait, showed one of our latest built projects, Wind Tower, as a case study on local environmental and urban typology. This project was recognized as Sustainable Project of the Year at the Middle East Architect Awards at the end of 2017.

Middle East Architect magazine has just published its annual Who’s Who report including the 50 most influential architects from the Middle East. Once again, Nasser Abulhasan, Principal and Founding Partner of our design firm, is on the list. This selection highlights the architects that have positively contributed to the growing development of the region.

At the end of 2017, Nasser and Joaquin were Highly Commended for Principal of the Year, and our completed work Wind Tower awarded Sustainable Project of the Year at Middle East Architect Awards (MEAA).

Projects for rehabilitation and landscape, collective and single-family housing, hospital and health centers, as well as retail projects, amongst others, set the pace of our work during this year 2018.

Designs as In Natura Veritas, for the musealization of 18 Galician-Roman sites in the Spanish province of Pontevedra and the rehabilitation of the Medieval Bridge of Furelos, in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain; hospital projects in Kuwait such as Shaikha Jassim Al Marzouq Kidney Transplant Hospital, and Breast Imagin Center; collective housing including the high-rise towers that make up the Complexes Wafra Living, Fawsec Campus, In-Transit Living; three private single-family homes; and retail projects, such as City Center, are some examples of the portfolio currently under development in which we are now working.
