We've developed a proposal for a new centre for Spain's Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spanish National Research Council), the country's leading research institution. This project shares some design criteria with our project for the Institute of Biotechnology and Sustainable Development in Pamplona, which was highly regarded in competition; however, it adapts … [Read more...]
Institute of Biotechnology and Sustainable Development of the CSIC in Pamplona
Set on the outskirts of Pamplona, the new home for the Institute of Biotechnology and Sustainable Development is conceived as a compact, rational volume of powerful geometry and honest construction, framing a scientific garden that unfolds along its south façade. The building is defined as a prismatic, platonic block. It acquires a rectangular form derived from … [Read more...]
Coming Soon… in the Red Sea
Coming soon in the Red Sea — a luxury resort where the dunes, the desert, and the water converge in a seamless passage from arrival to immersion. The built environment transitions smoothly towards the dunes and the sea horizon. Each level of the project is organized around a single constant: the sea, always visible, always near. Sea views dominate both the interior and … [Read more...]
CEU School of Veterinary Medicine
Through a dual volumetric strategy, where a tectonic L-shaped volume interlinks with a lightweight one, the proposal presented to the competition for the new CEU Cardenal Herrera School of Veterinary Medicine in Alfara del Patriarca integrates the pre-existing context and stitches the public realm. The building articulates a connection between the academic program and urban … [Read more...]
Tailored House
The Right Fit: Architecture Tailored to Living This renovation reveals that luxury does not lie in square meters, but in design precision. A home of contained dimensions transforms into a space where every detail matters, where functionality merges with elegance and energy efficiency becomes everyday comfort. An Embracing Envelope The project revolves … [Read more...]
Precast House
Where prefab efficiency creates spaces for living well Precast House is a residence on the outskirts of Madrid for a family that needed to relocate within a very tight timeframe. The project's urgency led to the adoption of a precast concrete panel construction system that reduced the building time to just six months. These panels, in addition to serving a structural function, … [Read more...]
Community Housing for Independent Seniors
Architecture bears the responsibility of shaping not only spaces but, consequently, lives themselves. When designing living environments for older adults, it is essential to balance autonomy with community, privacy with connection, and independence with access to care. We recently submitted a proposal for a public competition for 50 rental housing units for non-dependent … [Read more...]
Valle de Piélagos Secondary School Expansion
We are pleased to share our proposal for the expansion of the Valle de Piélagos Secondary School in Renedo, Cantabria. Educational architecture holds a special place in our practice. We approach these projects, largely publicly promoted through architectural competitions, from an economy of means that allows for a rigorous focus on student well-being and sustainability. Each … [Read more...]
New Library in Berrioplano
Our proposal for the #Library competition in Berrioplano—awarded second prize—positions a single-floor public facility at the threshold between urban fabric and the Park—a deliberate architectural gesture that prioritizes accessibility, human scale, and environmental integration. Designed entirely on a single floor, the library is organized into three volumes that reduce the … [Read more...]
Amber Core House
Like a structure carved from a quarry, Amber Core House looks as if it was hewn from the bedrock. Its stone-like volume collects and protects every living space of the home. This petrous solid is punctuated by an interplay of hollow spaces, cradling a main void that houses the home's core. With a very visible texture, resembling that of a quarry wall, the … [Read more...]
