AGi architects participated at Open House Madrid for the second consecutive year. This is a Festival focused on Architecture and City which enables citizens to visit buildings and unique venues for free for one weekend a year.
More than 100 buildings were part of the first edition in 2015, which attracted more than 25,000 visitors who passed through the headquarters of several companies, architecture and design firms that, like ours, are open to the public to bring the architecture to the citizens.
In the morning of Saturday, October 1st, AGi architects had the opportunity to share with visitors who came to our Madrid offices, our philosophy of work and show some projects -both built and under construction-, as well as recent competitions won in Spain. From Star House, the first project of our design firm, to other single-family houses; buildings of collective housing as Wafra Living or Tamdeen Square Residences, clinics and hospitals, office buildings as Prointel or our research project as part of the Pavilion of Kuwait in the current Venice Biennale, all them were some of the works shown.
Open House Madrid was part, this year, of the Architecture Week. Open House was held during the weekend of October 1-2, and it was an opportunity to discover buildings like the Senate, the BBVA corporate building or the Institute of Cultural Heritage, among many others, as well as some works by the architect Antonio Palacios at the centennial celebration of his work.
